A bit of background on how I discovered the world of Colorstreet. My friend Kaydee had a nail bar (Facebook nail polish party) and invited me to shop. I love bright, shiny nail polish, so when I shopped the glittery colors and designs grabbed my attention first. I bought my first Buy 3 Get 1 FREE set of 4 and once I got it, KayDee came over to show me how to apply it. OMG….having done Acrylic nails and manicures when I was a Hair Dresser/Nail Tech/Salon Owner I was totally impressed that the strips went on ‘dry’ and I could go right back to work. WHAT?? Yes indeed – NO drying time. THEN I started thinking about how fun it would be to create fun manicures with Colorstreet Nail Strips for my clients. Send them off on an amazing vacation with fun color matched nails to enhance their experience. I was also inspired by another friend, Jenni, that travels often and changes the color of her gel polish to fit her vacation vibe. Travelin Nails was born! AND I was hooked! Colorstreet is #AMAZING!!

Like many of you, I have done gel manicures and pedicures. They wear forever and are super durable. And expensive. So like many of you, I decided to do my own nails at home to save some vacation $$$. I can paint my nails and not make a mess (thanks to years of applying nail polish at my salon) BUT….I can not tell you how many times I have screwed up my beautiful nails before I even got out the door to the airport! TONS of times, and most of those times I had to get to my cruise embarkation city with ugly, messed up nails because I did not have the time to remove the polish. FIRST thing I did once onboard my cruise ship was race to the salon and beg for nail polish remover. This will NEVER, EVER happen with Colorstreet! AND the best time to apply these nail strips is right before bed so they cure overnight. It makes them almost bulletproof. AND NO SHEET MARKS! (You know what I’m talking about girl!) PLUS I can bring some Nail Strips with me and change up my mani or pedi in less than 10 minutes!

Whether I am starting with a fresh mani or pedi (YES there are strips just for your toes!) I love that I can complete my application in less than 20 minutes. I have lots of tips and tricks and am always happy to share! Those of you that wear gel polish, you can extend your time between salon visits. For those of us that wear Colorstreet Nail Strips, we can ALSO extend our manicures. Here’s how:  For gel polish – buff down the hair catching ridge at your cuticle. Wash your hands with dishwashing liquid and warm water. Apply the nail strips over your gel polish. No ridge, no regrowth – pretty nails! For Colorstreet wearers – soak a qtip in polish remover and rub it lightly on the hair catching ridge at your cuticle. Wash your hands with dishwashing liquid and warm water. Apply new strips on top of the old ones. No ridge, no regrowth – PRETTY NAILS!!! It really IS that simple! Reds, browns, blues, blacks, greens, pinks, whites, purples, oranges, nudes – the possibilities are endless!!!
