Part Two: Yes We Do & Why You Should Use One

This month, I began my 14 year of Infinity Travel AZ, LLC. I changed Host Agencies in March of 2020… I know, right? But I struggled through that awful time and today I have a successful business and love what I do. Hard work and perseverance paid off.

Now back to the “Do Travel Agents even exist anymore?” YES! We do. And for those of you that are skeptical, here are a few ‘Myth Busters’ about Travel Agents – now referred to as Travel Advisors.

Debunk – Yes, you sure can book online. With hours of research and clicking buttons. Every piece of your trip is booked over several sites, after several hours of searching. Did you know that one of the best things about working with a Travel Advisor is that we have trusted supplier partners that bundle air, transportation, accommodations and sightseeing together for a better value and your vacation is seamless? It’s true! A Travel Advisor will work with you to learn your desires and connect with the right Supplier Partner to help you make amazing memories. After years of creating excellent working relationships, we have our go-to Suppliers that deliver every time. You worry about what you are going to pack and let us prepare the exceptional experience. I promise it will be worth it and meet your expectations.

Fact Check – Not so. For example: When you are looking to book a cruise online yourself, more than likely you will go to one or two, maybe three different cruise line websites and book what ever line has the best price. The Best Price is not always the Best Value – Value meaning the overall itinerary, ship, onboard experience and vibe. When I look for a cruise for someone, I take into consideration their budget, where they want to go, how long they want to be away and what they expect the onboard time to be like. There are several cruise lines in each sector – and by that I mean mega size versus small ship, adult only versus family oriented, contemporary versus premium or luxury, A La Carte versus All Inclusive and finally Ocean, River or Expedition. And again, we have trusted supplier partners that we have great relationships with that give us extras to enhance our guests vacation. Only looking at price is not that way to have an amazing experience. I am not about the ‘deal of the day’. But I AM about you having an amazing time and making lifetime memories.

Correction – Totally not true. I have many clients that want me to book just their cruise and they want to book all the rest of their vacation. While I am ALWAYS willing to help, I get that people want different things. What I do is make recommendations for arrival in their embarkation port city as well as departure from their disembarkation port city. If they want my help, great! If not, when it comes time to put together their itinerary, I ask them for all the information for what they booked on their own. Flights, accommodations, sightseeing tours, transportation, etc… With confirmation numbers. I then put it ALL together with their cruise portion so my guests have one completely detailed itinerary with every vacation component in one place. Anyone that has traveled with Infinity Travel AZ, LLC knows and loves the details that matter. Please know, that I am ready to do the whole thing from beginning to end, but I want you to be a part of your vacation. Either way you win! Refutation – Not really. Having a Travel Advisor put together a complete trip for you has some advantages. 1 – If we choose the right Tour Operator for a land package, they have expert agents on their 24/7 travel emergency line that will help work it all out. In 2025 I made the difficult decision to stop issuing airline tickets through the old Travel Agent GDS system and book flights for my clients directly with the airlines. Why? IF there are disruptions in the flight itinerary and you are at the airport, the airline will take care of their own issued tickets over a 3^rd party issued tickets. I have had the experience myself – I have heard ‘Your Travel Agent…’  Well I AM the Travel Agent and you need to take care of me. 2 – AND this is why with every trip I book; I highly recommend Travel Protection Insurance. This is a big part of the peace of mind you get with Travel Insurance.
