Ireland is an amazingly green country. It might look fake in pictures, but it is magnificent in person. We were lucky enough to get to explore a good part of Ireland and we were there on a work assignment. Flying from London to Kerry Airport gave me goosebumps, it was just so beautiful! Perfectly manicured green pastures divided only by stones, it was magical.
Ireland has lots of castles and thatched roof cottages. They are amazingly well kept, and they are quite old. Just in Killarney alone, where we were fortunate enough to live during our time there, we found 2 castles to explore. Killarney Castle and Ross Castle. Of course on weekends, we took drives to other parts of Ireland, and yes we kissed the Blarney Stone in Blarney Castle outside Cork.
Some of the most amazing landscape in Ireland can be found on the Dingle Peninsula and at the Cliffs of Moher. Jagged, imposing cliffs dropping into the sea below. High rolling mountain sides with sheep and cows dotting the horizon. Regretfully, we never made it to Dublin or Northern Ireland. In Dublin they brew Guinness Beer, which is good for you. I know this because there were signs all over Killarney that advised you of this. I drank my fair share. We did go to Waterford and visit the crystal factory. And we drove the Ring of Kerry. The country is beautiful and I want to go back and see more!
